Volume Control Type-Audio Systems

The rotary encoder is a knob-like volume control and it usually moves even if the maximum or minimum sound value is reached. This reduces the wear and tear on the volume control. The jog dial is a utility feature found on many Hi-Fi and Mini systems. Apart from volume, it integrates several controls into one easy-to-use & "dial-like" control. The jog dial generally controls the CD tracks, equalizer, radio and amplifier. Rotary encoders and jog dials can also be used with remote controls which make them more popular today.
