Sensor Type-Digital Cameras

There are two types of sensors - CCD and CMOS. CCD or Charged Coupled Device sensor is a light sensitive chip used for image gathering. CMOS or Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor is another type of image sensor found in a digital camera. Pixel sensitivity is lower than the CCD sensors and usually has more noise in the imaging device.
